Dynamically assign different replacement tokens - Pseudonyms - at different times to replace data values for various purposes so they cannot be correlated without access to a Master Look-Up Table that is kept separately and securely. Associate a unique Pseudonym (not algorithmically derived) to the entire source record. This way protected data can always be relinked to source or to obscured versions of replaced data when authorized.

Replace different data elements (direct, indirect and attribute data) so that the protection travels with the data and applies to all use cases.

Controlled access to and use of Master Lookup table to enable:
  • Reversal of protected data value Pseudonyms to reveal the specific source data they replace OR to reveal an obscured versions of the data they replaced (using well-established anonymisation techniques that work under centralized processing condition but extended to enable decentralized use cases due to dynamism).
  • Relinking of protected data value Pseudonyms to the entire source data record to enable updating, augmenting, etc. of elements of the source data not included in the protected data.
